Scholarships

Overview

Thanks to the support we have received from early donors, support we hope to receive from future donors and from our own contributions, IAYT and Yoga Developments are pleased to award a limited number of partial scholarships to SYTAR 2008.

These scholarships are intended to enable those with limited financial resources to attend SYTAR so they many in turn serve others with improved skills and inspiration. Preferences will be for IAYT members coming from out of town and teaching Yoga as their primary occupation, or those currently enrolled in Yoga therapist training programs, in graduate school or living on ashrams.

Scholarship recipients are eligible to register for the full conference, including an intensive on Thursday and the Friday night social event, for $250. (This is approximately the cost of the food provided at the conference). Transportation and lodging are not provided.

Scholarships can be applied for at any time until January 1, 2008. Scholarship recipients will be notified by email on an ongoing basis, and at least by January 15. Special registration instructions will be provided, and recipients will have 14 days to register and pay for the symposium.
